HBO show ‘Girls’ is set to end after six seasons, it’s been maintained. Lena Dunham and network HBO have supposedly concurred an ending date for the programme – which will view its fifth season premiere next month – insiders have confirmed to E! News.
On the other hand, the news should not come as much of a shock as the 29-year old writer-and-celebrity has repeatedly said she does not need the programme to go on for more than six show.
Last September, talking, she clarified: ‘ Never say never, but that’s the way we are beginning to consider sort of the best way to wrap up the storylines of the special young women and we are contemplating it.
‘It is extremely exciting. Iwill be 30 so it feels right this show kind of sandwiched my 20s, and I began working with this show once I was 23 and then I go off to the planet.’
And co-originator Jenni Konner formerly declared they’re readying to ‘assemble into the earth’ as they do not need to run the show’ towards an ending’.
She said: ‘I ‘d say season five — I am expecting, will actually tell how much farther we need to go.
‘ we figure out which season five is, we will know whether it is another year. Everything depends.’
‘ But we are not in the company of running it to the earth. We’d like to finish in an area that is graceful. And we had like to tell a story that is complete. What that means is that we must begin building towards an ending shortly.’
