He walked right into a social media thunderstorm after tweeting a graphic demonstrating UTV journalist Tracey Magee, Northern Ireland First Minister Arlene Foster and Scotland First Minister Nicola Sturgeon wearing coats that were similar.
And UTV’s Tracey Magee wrote:”Oh no, male journalist and male politician wear same suit!! :-).”
Belfast Telegraph journalist Yvette Shapiro, who also possesses the dressy coat, tweeted: “Little distress that you left me outside. #suitgate.”She also disclosed the suit came from Hobbs, among the Duchess of Cambridge’s favourite stores.”If it is good enough for the First Ministers of Scotland and NI, it is good enough for me personally,” Yvette wrote. David said of Nicola’s Sturgeon’s putdown: “It was an exceptional retort – a brilliant rebuff.
