The actress, in a recent interaction with leading daily, spilled beans about the pressures an actress has to go through. Even though she did not make a comment on the male actors, she still went ahead to share her experience with this producer when she first took baby steps in this forever evolving industry. “When I was relatively new in the industry, I was in talks with a producer, who wanted to cast me in his film. But, due to some date issues, it didn’t work out. He told me, that he will either cast someone else or will launch a new actor, because actresses are replaceable. That got stuck in my head. Now, I jokingly tell him that I am irreplaceable. I made a deliberate effort to become irreplaceable,” she said.
The world cannot get enough of Priyanka and at this stage in her life, the actress has carved a niche for herself, which is why when you ask her about racism in Hollywood, she laughs it off by saying that she was chosen for Quantico because she is best for the job not because she is Indian.
