20 evacuated after ‘apocalyptic’ fire tears through town from houses

Teams saved several people trapped in the level as the fire ripped on Sunday evening.

She said fire fighters in cherry pickers were sent as much as individuals trapped in the flats above.

Approximately 15 fire engines and tons of crew ran to town centre to attack the blaze, that they fought for hours.
