She was criticized for appearing the same in every picture despite the fact that she was hailed as the most wonderful girl on earth. Her comeback picture, nevertheless titled Jazbaa, proves that wrong.

There is tremendous buzz around the Jazbaa of Sanjay Gupta with a starcast like Jackie Shroff, Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi. We have all been interested to learn what Aishwarya’s character will take the movie, and after seeing the preview, it is safe to state that people agree together with the claim she made in this Vogue interview, “Comeback?

The preview of Jazbaa starts with Rai presenting herself as promoter Anuradha Verma, and upon hearing her voice you instantly get a feeling of nostalgia. That which you see is a somewhat old Aishwarya.

Upon acquiring an anonymous call requesting her to defend a murder and rape victim, she learns that her daughter has been held ransom. What follows is a coil of events that drive her to fight for something she’s against.

On the negative side, the melodrama is rather noticeable. There are clap-worthy dialogues (mainly helmed by Irrfan Khan, who plays her aide), loud background score as well as the typical Sanjay Gupta green visual overtone, perhaps attempting to suggest earnestness (see Kaante or Zinda to understand that which we are talking about).

The single glimpse we get of the bad guy is someone sitting in an automobile wearing a gas mask looking thing. However, Aishwarya Rai’s character as a distressed mother fighting for her daughter’s life seems bright.
