Authorities in Missouri have apprehended a second person suspected of making dangers on social media.
The Northwest Missouri State University student was taken into detention around noon Wednesday at his residence hall, campus police said.
The developments came at the University of Missouri in the aftermath of protests.
Social media has been permeated by reports of dangers that were racially charged. There was also a gossip the Ku Klux Klan had arrived to the Columbia campus, which turned out to be baseless.
Yik Yak is a social media program which allows users to share anonymous messages, or Yaks, with others in a 5-mile radius.
