The wait is over: Ariana Grande (eventually) released her new single “Focus.”
She has been counting down essentially ever since and pronounced the release date on Sept. 15! “this countdown as long af,” she acknowledged on Instagram at the 40-days out point. “but it’s fine because our countdowns are among my personal favorite parts about putting out new music!!!”
Ever since then, she is been releasing new teases for the tune little by little, and tonight was no different.
Grande kept keeping the countdown lively until she finally announced that the audio is readily available for your listening delight on iTunes and teasing buffs:
But that’s not all. Grande followed up soon using a music video, too!
Just over two weeks ago Grande revealed the cover art for “Focus,” which features the commonly brunette beauty with platinum blonde white hair!
“It is white really,” Grande clarified about the Smallzy’s Operation show on Nova 96.9FM radio in Australia.
“it’s difficult to tell because of the grayscale filter, but it’s white. Like super white. Nevertheless, you will see this in the video and stuff, you can see how, it looks like Lucius Malfoy, he was kind of my…go to reference.”
Funnily enough, Harry Potter alum Tom Felton (who played with Draco Malfoy, Lucius’ son) got wind. Earlier this week, he tweeted the singer, “if you require an actor in the next music video, I will dig up a really dashing white wig.”
Ariana seemed to like the notion, tweeting him back, “I’ll 100000000000% take you up on this.”
That might be quite magical, huh?
