Authorities searching for gunman involved in shooting incident

UPDATE: A lady was being interviewed by a reporter in the shopping center when the gunman walked into view. The incident involved among its teams has been supported by the station.

Authorities are trying to find someone who shot in the Bridgewater Plaza near Smith Mountain Lake Wednesday morning at multiple individuals.

Shooting occurred at the Bedford County-Franklin County line in Moneta at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, August 26.during live TV news report.

Authorities say there were three casualties. The extent of the injuries are not known as of this time.

WDBJ7 so are asking for the prayers and is reporting the shooting incident involved among their crews.

Based on a witness on the scene, there’s a major police presence in the region – around 30 to 40 policemen have answered.

Members with Virginia State Police and Bedford, Franklin County are on scene.

Authorities say they so are expecting to get out a description to people soon and continue to try to find the shot only at that time.
