Anton Yelchin, who was known for playing with Chekov in the Star Trek movies that are new, continues to be killed by his own car at his house in La, authorities say.
It hit at him after rolling back down the steep drive at his Studio City home, trapping him against a security fence and a brick postbox column.
He died soon after 01:00 (08:00 GMT) on Sunday.
The 27-year old also appeared in movies including 2011’s Like opposite Felicity Jones, Crazy, and Fright Night.
Yelchin and Pavel Chekov played, the character originally made famous in the rebooted Star Trek movies released in 2009 and 2013, by Walter Koenig.
He reprised the character in a third movie, Star Trek Beyond, which will be expected for launch next month.
You had been gifted, and amusing as hell. You were not here almost enough.
