Big Loss! Kiev car bomb kills top Belarusian journalist Sheremet

A car bomb explosion has killed Kremlin critic and a leading Belarusian journalist, Pavel Sheremet, in the Ukrainian capital Kiev.

He reported for Ukrayinska Pravda, a popular news website and hosted on Radio Vesti.

After stopping Russian TV due to alleged Kremlin pressure Sheremet had lived for five years in Kiev.

The Russian authorities accuse of distorting news from eastern Ukraine Ukrainian media, where pro- Russian rebels are defying the forces of Kiev.

Ukraine’s Interior Ministry spokesman, Artem Shevchenko, called the auto blasting “a brazen homicide… aimed at destabilising the scenario” in Ukraine.
