Billboard has declared that Demi Lovato will be the receiver of it inaugural “Rulebreaker” award at Billboard’s Women in Music occasion, to be held Dec. 11 at Cipriani Midtown in New York. The occasion will soon be broadcast on TV for the very first time via Lifetime on Dec. 18. Moreover , the singer will perform.

Lady Gaga may also be honored as Woman of the Year and Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard will be rewarded the Powerhouse award. Additional 2015 honorees and performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
The 2015 Women in Music event is held together with the publication of the Women in Music list of Billboard, which chooses the 50 most powerful female executives in the industry of the year.
