A U.S. C-130 transport plane has crashed near Jalalabad, Afghanistan, according to military defense officials. Jalalabad, which is near the eastern border of Pakistan, is prone to Taliban attacks.

The first morning crash occurred about 3:30 a.m. local time Friday, said coalition representative U.S. Army Col. Brian Tribus, according to NBC News.

The United States Air Force runs from the Jalalabad Airport, frequently using drones that are American, as stated by the Telegraph.

“Crew and others are collecting more info and can release as suitable.”

No word yet as to if there have been any casualties, or exactly how many individuals were onboard, based on Sputnik News.

The C130 continues to be an American military basic since the 1950s and is regarded as a workhorse in the U.S. Air Force’s Afghanistan operations.
