An extremist party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has given a 48-hour deadline to Pakistani artists to leave India.

According to reports in the Indian media, the extremist group said if Pakistani artists did not leave they’d be ‘ pushed from the nation out’.

This threat by the extremist group follows that from an Indian blogger Soumyadipta Banerjee who in a post told Pakistani performer Fawad Khan to leave the state.

Previously, threats have been received by Pakistani artists from Indian extremists groups. Pakistani vocalist Ghullam Ali was compelled to cancel his performance in Mumbai because of Shiv Sena.

Indian extremist party Shiv Sena had threatened from promoting their movies in Maharashtra Mahira Khan and Pakistani celebrities Fawad Khan.

The deadline comes as tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated. Kashmiris have been martyred and thousands injured as a consequence of Indian atrocities. India without any proof has blamed Pakistan for an assault on an army base in Uri.
