DARK CHAPTER OF LIFE! Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Akhtar head for a divorce – check out official statement!

Filmmaker Farhan Akhtar who wed hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani Akhtar in 2000 and celebrity have made a decision to go different ways. The two dated for 3 years before the knot was tied by them. The two met when his directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai was being worked on by Farhan.

Things became clearer when Adhuna was missing from the yearly calendar start of Dabboo Ratnani as well as from great buddy Hrithik Roshan mentioned birthday bash while there were lots of reports of the two heading to get a separation for sometime.

Nevertheless, Farhan and Adhuna have issued a joint statement about their parting to refute speculations and rumours. It said, “This is to announce that we, Adhuna and Farhan, have mutually and amicably decided to separate. Our children remain our priority and it is immensely important to us, as responsible parents, that they be protected from unwarranted speculation and public glare. We sincerely request that we are given the privacy that is required at this time to move forward in a dignified manner.”
