Eid Al Adha holidays in the UAE were announced yesterday (Tuesday) by the Federal Authority for Human Resources (FAHR) and Ministry of Labour.

The holidays were declared through circulars issued Minister of Labour, by FAHR and Saqr Gobash.
They congratulated residents on this occasion and the people of the UAE, wishing more pride and glory and prosperity and the country additional progress for the Islamic and Arab countries.

FAHR announced that federal bodies and ministries will be off from Wednesday, September 23, to Saturday, September 26. Work will resume on Sunday.

The Ministry of Labour announced that Eid Al Adha holidays for the private sector will be from Wednesday, September 23, to Friday, September 25. Work will resume on Saturday, September 26.

According to the report, Arafat Day will be on September 23 while the first day of Eid Al Adha will fall on September 24.

The Eid Al Adha holiday could potentially be a four-day break instead of five days as was believed before.
Eid Al Adha, which falls on the 10th day of Dhu Al Hijjah, is September 24 , Thursday.
