With plans to hold two live occasions on January 15-16 in 2016, WWE Live is returning to India, after 13 years. The events will soon be held at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.
Gerrit Meier, President, WWE International said that India is among the key priority markets for the company internationally as well as the live events is part of the strategy to be able to engage with the devotees. Gerrit explained the business is also looking at other sites to sponsor and organise more such live events as time goes on.
Enthusiasts will be able to view WWE superstars like Big Show, John Cena, Dean Ambrose and Sheamus among others in the Delhi occasions.
Rajesh Sethi CEO of Ten Sports Network stated that the about 20,000 tickets are expected to be sold for each of the occasions. Gerrit said the business is already seeing a great deal of interest from brands who would like to be linked to the two live occasions.
