Finally After weeks of rumours Aladdin musical comes to the West End

After weeks of rumours, it has been confirmed that Disney’s musical Aladdin will open in London’s West End in June next year.

The Tony Award-winning musical will open in the Prince Edward Theatre on 9 June.

The Disney show has been viewed by more than a million folks in both years it continues to be on Broadway.

Cast will be declared later.

The musical relies on features tunes and the 1992 animated movie in the movie, along with new music by Alan Menken.

It has had an award-winning run, receiving five Tony nominations in its opening year and debuted on Broadway.

James Monroe Iglehart won the Tony award for best performance by an actor in a featured part as the genie, for his performance in a musical.

Productions of the musical have opened in Japan this year and another will open in Berlin in December. It is also going to open in 2016 in Sydney.

Sir Tim Rice won an Oscar because of his score to the film Aladdin.
