Akshay Kumar is undoubtedly the khiladi of Bollywood and he stays true to the title. Lately, he has given cash to the victims of the Uri assault. Seventeen soldiers were killed in a militant attack in Uri area of Baramulla district on Sunday morning. The 18 September attack at Uri is probably the worst Pakistani attack.
And like always, Akshay Kumar has won hearts by his kind action of helping the families of Uri attack martyrs. Akshay has issued cheques of Rs 5-10 lakhs for each of the martyr’s families. “A medal or an award is great but not enough. More must be done for their families and them. They need money also,” he said.
Rohit, whose younger brother Rockey, a Border Security Force constable, died fighting terrorists during the Udhampur terrorist attack talked highly of the celebrity. “It’s a fantastic step from Akshay’s side because he is the only performer who thought about us and what a family goes through when a soldier dies for the state. We felt extremely nice that at least someone spared some time for us,” he said.
Previously, Akhsay had supported the casualties of Chennai Flood.
