GREAT NEWS: Kangana Ranaut will start shooting for Simran in March

Kangana is no longer section of the movie, which has set a search for another heroine with the makers. The Indo French co production assembled Movie France, from the French movie commission, was to be given a mainstream cinema launch in France.

We were to shoot at the picture this year but the movie got delayed. Kangana had given to other movies including Rangoon and another production of Simran mine and then, she starts Lakshmibai. She told us a couple of months ago that she’d be unable to do Divine Lovers due to date problems. Rangoon will be wrapped by Kangana . After that people will begin Simran in March.”

He further describes, “The Divine Lovers script wasn’t ready. As it’s an Indo-French project with a treaty and rights involved, it’s a complicated, long-drawn out process. We have to send the script to France for their approval and communications take time. Right now we are looking at another actress to take her place. It’s too premature to talk about the film’s casting right now. Irrfan had evinced keen interest after hearing the first draft but we will have to take the final draft to him before he says yes. I have worked very closely with him and he’s part of the Divine Lovers’ production.”
