Downed power lines have closed Highway 101 in Burlingame in both ways Friday night, in line with the CHP.

Authorities said both directions of 101 are being redirected, northbound will be redirected away at Anza and southbound is being redirected at Millbrae.

Authorities said to avoid the region. It’s not understood when the roadway will reopen, but CHP consider it’ll reopen around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Reports said a traffic crash caused the power lines but that is not verified. traffic_millbrae

People who believe the cables might maintain contact by using their vehicle or are about the highway in your community should stay inside their vehicle until guided by the fire department, authorities said.

Motorists should anticipate delays of up to an hour.

One PG&E team is on-scene. Another is enroute.

No clients are without electricity, PG&E said.
