HOT BUZZ! Shahid Requested KJo to Convince Me to Sign Udta Punjab: Kareena

The Udta Punjab of director Abhishek Chaubey is a much-awaited film.

The rationale, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan will be sharing the screen space after 2007!

The couple was last seen in the superhit film, Jab We Met.

While everybody thinks that Bebo signed Udta Punjab immediately after hearing the script, well, it’s not thus. Based on a report, it took the performer three months before she said yes, of cajoling from good buddy Karan Johar, along with a great deal.

Kareena supported the news, and shared, “I was sitting on the film till considering whether I should do it or not when I got a call from Karan (Johar) to sign the film. He said Shahid requested him to call and persuade me as it was a role perfect for me.”

Even Shahid had earlier quoted, “I never wanted to recommend Kareena because I was scared thinking about how people will perceive that again. When I have narrated the film, I thought of Kareena. The role that Kareena plays, I felt she was just perfect for the role.”

Hmmm… shared appreciation club, or let us say moving on..happily?
