INTERESTING ACT!! Aamir Khan hosts a special screening of Dangal for THIS actress and she calls it a 100 percent WINNER!
Though the release of Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal is still three months away, the movie is prepared and complete, thanks to the celebrity’s dedication to getting it right before moving on to his next project, The Thugs Of Hindostan. Aamir held the first screening of his picture for handpicked guests. Says a source, “Agreed, it was premature to show the film considering Dangal releases during Christmas. But it was a special occasion on Sunday. It was Shabana Azmi’s birthday. Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao are very close to Shabana and Javed. So, Aamir sportingly arranged a screening attended by Shabana, Javed Akhtar and around 20 other close friends.”
Says a source, “It is not a film about wrestling like Sultan. It’s about a wrestler’s efforts to train his daughters in wrestling. It’s a heartwarming effort. At a time when cinema like Pink and Parched simply address the question of women’s empowerment, Aamir’s Dangal will show him to be a true champion of feminism.”
For all the ignorant, Dangal features Aamir portraying the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who instructed wrestling Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari. He’ll be seen playing with both younger and elderly characters of Phogat in the movie, and he’d put on weight up to 95 kg to play the older part and is presently in the procedure for bringing it down to around 70 kg.
“For ‘Dangal’ I ‘d to play with a 55-year-old guy that is closer to my real life age. I was worried about that. As I was playing youthful parts in (other) movies and for ‘Dangal’ I will have to play an old man, be fat, grey hair.
As reported by a popular news day-to-day, based on a highly placed source, Aamir has started shooting — the once named Secret Superstar — directed by Advait Chandan.
