A 50-year old man was shot and seriously wounded Monday morning outside of the municipal building in the Druze town of Julis in northern Israel.
Crisis -responders were called to the scene and rendered first-aid to the casualty, but were not able to revive him.
Based on first reports the shooter is a senior official on the town council. The shot asserted he fired in self-defense, after another guy threatened him with an axe.
A paramedic who treated the victim that was shooting, taid Quas, described the scene of the incident.
“Next to the municipal building there was a guy, nearly 50-years of age, lying unconscious after suffering a [gunshot] wound and bleeding in his upper torso.”
“ We rendered medical treatment, including preventing the bleeding and complex resuscitation techniques, but his wounds were serious and within a short time we were compelled to declare his departure.”
