Dialect and voice teacher Julia Wilson-Dickson, who worked on Eddie Redmayne’s Oscar-winning performance in The Theory of Everything with he, has died aged 66.

Wilson Dickson additionally worked with film stars including Robert de Niro on Frankenstein, Helena Bonham Carter on Albert Nobbs and Glenn Close.

Wilson-Dickson’s brother Andrew wrote that she died following a brain haemorrhage, describing her as having “deep technical knowledge coupled with the intellectual and psychological understanding of both text and dialogue”.

Her brother Andrew’s nephew Oliver wrote on her Facebook page: “Her brother Andrew was remarkable – a larger than life character that will be recalled by all who knew and worked with her and with love and gratitude by her family.”
