Kahaani 2 trailer: Vidya Balan is back with a spine chilling thriller

Rani Durga Singh was Sujoy Ghosh ’s dream film, and went through numerous cast changes. For the part, many Bollywood celebrities were approached from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Kareena Kapoor Khan. The result was merging of titles Rani Durga Singh with Kahaani 2. The preview of Kahanai 2 is as intriguing as confounding and is not in. You take a minute to realise that this is an entirely different film. Vidya Balan makes impact, and makes a marvellous return. Arjun Rampal replaces Satyoki “Rana” Sinha, played by Parambrata Chatterjee in Kahaani.

What’s hot

We can never be failed by Vidya Balan with her acting chops. Just 2 minutes 34 seconds long preview and she has us impressed yet again. We see the pain of losing someone cloud her face and there you are hooked to the preview. The cryptic tone it aims is successfully built up by the trailer at. Arjun Rampal also manages to pull off his part. Seeing Inspector Chatterjee was fairly trendy. Direction appears clear. Bollywood has the propensity to throw the most irritating child of the lot in a vital part in pictures, mercifully Kahaani 2 doesn’t follow that trail. And remember to see Jugal Hansraj there in the trailer.

What’s Not

The picture keeps next to nothing from the first picture despite being marketed as a sequel,. We reckon the title, although this could have been readily a standalone film Durga Rani Singh. Bollywood has seriously got to stop calling pictures sequels when no train of thought is shared by them with the universe of the first picture, except for the celebrities. The film might have made no difference to the storyline and could have been set in any city.

The movie reminds you badly of Te3n and Wazir, both of which released earlier this season. We trust Kahaani 2 is unlike either of the two pictures. For now all we can say is that Vidya Balan is BACK!
