King Salman seeks ‘pressing’ UN actions over Al Aqsa

Salman “expressed strong disapprobation of the dangerous Israeli escalation” at the sacred site where Palestinian protesters clashed with Israeli authorities for three straight days, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

“He called for serious and rapid international attempts as well as for the intervention of the Security Council to require all urgent measures to prevent these violations,” it said.

Salman added the “assault on worshippers” breaks the sanctity of faiths “and leads to feeding extremism and violence in the world”. SPA said Salman made the exact same appeal to French President Francois Hollande, Russian President Vladimir Putin and British Prime Minister David Cameron.

The third- the compound can be the most holy site in Judaism which venerates it as the Temple Mount .
