Lamar Odom overlooking conceivable drug charges

Ailing sportsman Lamar Odom could face drug charges that are potential after testing positive for cocaine last month when he was found unconscious (Oct15).

Khloe Kardashian’s alienated husband was hospitalised on 13 October (15) after workers of Love Ranch South discovered Odom unresponsive in his room.

A worker in the brothel told the emergency services dispatcher that Odom had admitted to taking cocaine only before his fall, prompting authorities to secure a search warrant to take a sample of the blood of the 35 year old, which report came back positive.

“The Nye County Sheriff’s Office has now asked the Nye County District Attorney’s Office to review a request for prosecution against Lamar Odom for Use of, or Under the Influence of, a Controlled Substance,” Nye County District Attorney Angela A. Bello tells People magazine in a statement. “The D.A.’s office will take the time needed to appropriately review that request, along with all evidence that might support that request, in order to reach a just conclusion regarding whether to advance charges.”

The District Attorney is contemplating filing substance charges against Odom, who is recuperating at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles.

Kardashian, who called off her plans to divorce Lamar in late October (15), told U.S. chat show host Ellen DeGeneres on Monday (16Nov15) that Odom is getting better each day, but will need “a lot of physical and cognitive therapy” as he continues to recover.
