limited release of “Song of Lahore” is scheduled for November 13

‘Song Of Lahore’ is a documentary film. It tells their story they make their way to Lincoln Centre of New York City in the invitation from Pakistan. The Sachal Studios music group rehearse with Marsalis’ band The Jazz subsequently take the stage together at Lincoln Centre of New York.

The world-wide premier of the film was released in the Tribeca Film Festival on April 18, 2015 and now the limited release is scheduled for November 13, 2015.

Sachal Studios was founded by Izzat Majeed with the purpose of promoting music again. After convincing several of master musicians to pick up their instruments again, they quietly released some albums that were folk and ancient. But it’s South Asian instruments that brings Sachal Studios worldwide acclaim and an experimental record fusing jazz. Their rendition becomes a sense.
