The 33-year-old Padma Shri awardee, who was busy shooting for her introduction international TV series “Quantico” in Montreal, said she managed to squeeze out time from her busy schedule to voice her favourite character from the Rudyard Kipling’s classic narrative.“I was really excited to do ‘The Jungle Book’.

I nearly missed the opportunity to express it because of the date issues out. I wasn’t able to do it because the movie (Jungle Book) was about to release. I was in Montreal shooting for ‘Quantico’ and that month was fairly hectic for me personally as ‘Baywatch’ also happened precisely the same month,” Priyanka told PTI.
Precisely the same month ‘Baywatch’ also happened,” Priyanka told PTI.

The prior Miss World said Disney India honcho Siddharth Roy Kapur firmly asked her to do the voiceover.
“Sidharth telephoned me and requested, ‘You need to take action and I do’t know how you’ll’. I also wished to do it. He delayed the shooting with a week. So, that’s how I got the opportunity to do it.”

Inquired what all youth memories she’d about the show, Priyanka said, “Sunday was virtually synonymous to Jungle Book.

Directed by Jon Favreau, “ The Jungle Book” narrates the story of an orphan boy Mowgli who is raised in the jungle by a pack of wolves, a bear, along with a black panther.

Priyanka is happy that the movie is not doing bad and she is getting appreciation from many quarters.

“I ‘m excited the movie opened so well. And I’m lucky because it’s very interesting,” she said, that I could do Kaa.

For Priyanka, appreciation is becoming more significant than getting awards.

My work is now really religious for me personally now. It’s like meditation between actions and transition. It’s gone beyond awards… Awards are amazing. You feel a certain encouragement which you need to keep doing the great work. People should like the movie and say ‘she did a bloody great job’.”
