The recent violent protests against Pakistani artists of Shiv Sena seems to have endangered the promotions of two pictures – ‘Raees’ directed by Rahul Dholakia starring filmmaker Karan Johar’s and Bollywood heartthrob Shah Rukh Khan ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Movie promotions are sacrosanct to get the success these days of a movie together with the entire international media looking for Bollywood content from this entertainment capital.

Earlier, the Shiv Sena as well as Shah Rukh have been at loggerheads over several civic issues and over particular remarks produced by the celebrity.

And it does appear that the far-right group is all set to spoil the celebration for the actor once more.

“We have taken a stand to not let any Pakistani celebrity, cricketer or performer to step on Maharashtra earth,” says Akshay Bardapurkar, general Secretary of the Shiv Sena Chitrapat Sena, the picture wing of the Shiv Sena.

Bardapurkar had earlier kept Pakistani legend and vocalist Ghulam Ali from performing in Mumbai a few days ago and got his concert cancelled.

Sena activists also stormed the Mumbai offices on Monday to disrupt planned discussions on resuming matches against Pakistan.

This followed International Cricket Council (ICC) statement on Monday that it’s pulled away Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar from the one-day matches in India following activists’ strikes to interrupt talks between officials of the two states.

India and Pakistan have been since attaining independence from Britain in 1947, arch-rivals, and have fought three wars.

Relations between both nations have strained with standard ceasefire violations on the disputed Line of Control in the contested Kashmir valley, because the start of year.

That caused the cancellation of talks involving both countries’ security advisors in August.

“We’re not actually bothered about who is signing these Pakistanis in their own film.

The film is slated for an Eid release in 2016.
