Major Attack: Nigeria mosque hit by Maiduguri suicide bombers

Two female suicide bombers have attacked a mosque in the north eastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri the military says.

Eighteen other people were wounded in the strike, the military included.

“My hearing was influenced by the blast. I can not hear well at the minute,” he added.

A statement from the military in Nigeria says every one of the wounded have already been taken into a hospital in a closeby town.

A year ago, a regional military offensive helped drive from most of the places it’d captured in northeastern Nigeria out Boko Haram.

But, the group, which can be linked to the so called Islamic State, has continued to perform suicide attacks in northern Nigeria and neighbouring Cameroon.
