Major search for missing AFTER Didcot Power Station collapse
A major search operation is to locate three people lost following a building left one man dead and at Didcot power station failed. Since an important event was declared rescuers happen to be at the Didcot A Power Station site. First reports indicated an explosion occurred at 16:00 GMT on Tuesday.Thames Valley Fire Management Service said the fall was a “quite serious event”, which left five other individuals needing hospital treatment.
“My thoughts are with the families of the lost people that happen to be waiting all night for news who I understand is going to be desperately stressed.”
It was considered four individuals were taken to two with serious injuries, John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and two with minor ones, but it was afterwards affirmed that a fifth man was being treated in the hospital.
A further 50 people were treated in the scene for dust inhalation.
The Didcot A plant was shut in 2013 and demolition work continues to be taking place.
