On Tuesday, Cyrus’s “mentor” and regular collaborator of late, Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne, announced that his group and Cyrus are planning for a unique occasion in honor of a track off of Cyrus’s fifth album, the experimental John Mayer-supported Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz–many tunes of which Coyne produced.
“Oh fuck..!!! @mileycyrus is planning a show where her, the band (us) and the audience are all COMPLETELY naked with milk (well white stuff that looks like milk) is being being spewed everywhere . . . It’s a video ( in the works) for #mileycyrusandherdeadpetz song “The Milky Milky Milk.”
Cyrus hasn’t supported the nude concert, but she’s announced that she’ll tour for the album alongside the Flaming Lips, with a show in Detroit planned for November 21. And, as you may have figured sometime between seeing the former Disney star’s nude form straddling a wrecking ball in a music video and watching Cyrus arrive only at that summer’s MTV VMA Awards wearing, basically, electrical tape and thigh high go-go boots, the pop star is comfortable flaunting her body for art (or something). Therefore the concert that is nude wouldn’t exactly be away-brand.
Cyrus is collaborating commonly with the 54-year old Flaming Lips frontman lately–in the recording studio, onstage, in wacky videos–with the New York Times describing him as Cyrus’s “artistic enabler.” Cyrus explained her relationship with Coyne to the Times as such: “he is everything on the planet–you can’t even define us. . .I am 100 percent in love with Wayne, and Wayne is in love with me, but it’s nothing sexual in any way. That would be the grossest.”
