USA Network postponed last night’s season finale of hacker play Mr Robot as a result of an unfortunate similarity between among its scenes as well as the shooting that happened in Virginia on live TV.
“Out of regard to the sufferers, their loved ones and co-workers, and our audiences, we’re postponing tonight’s episode. Our thoughts go out to those impacted with this tough time,” USA said in a statement.
It included that choice was made as the ending “includes a graphical scene similar in nature to today’s terrible events in Virginia.”
The episode will rather air September in its regular 10pm timeslot.
Mr Robot has proven a surprise this summer success, centring on a neurotic IT pro who’s drafted through an undercover band of hackers to resist corporate corruption.
