MTV host Sam Sarpong dies after jumping from a bridge in California

Tommy Hilfiger model Sam Sarpong and mTV presenter has expired after leaping from a bridge in California.

MTV presenter was the brother of former T4 presenter June Sarpong.

It is reported police officers had spent seven hours trying to talk him down from a bridge in Pasadena on Monday before he jumped.

His departure will be treated as a suicide, however an official ruling will undoubtedly be made following a post-mortem in la.

The 40-year old had a diverse profession presenting, playing and modelling for some of the largest brands in the world.

Along with appearing on catwalks for Versace, Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana he had been included in the “Hot 100 Young Hollywood with Style” list by Us Weekly magazine.

In a statement June Sarpong said: “I adore my brother very much. Sam was an impressive human being.

Sam co-hosted Yo Momma on MTV alongside Wilmer Valderrama who said he was “so miserable and so disoriented” by his buddy’s departure.

Sam’s acting roles included appearances in Cold Case and Bones.

He hosted the award was presented by backstage coverage of the BET Awards in 2013 and for quite a while for the best international artist.
