OMG! Brad Pitt cancels red carpet appearance citing ‘family situation’

Celebrity Brad Pitt cancelled a red carpet appearance for filmmaker Terrence Malick’s new movie “Voyage of Time” citing a “family situation” as the motive.

Pitt was scheduled to attend the premiere at the California Science Center on Wednesday, but with the actor set for divorce with actress Angelina Jolie, he determined not to attend it, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

Malick’s feature that analyzes the sources of the universe and of life on Earth is narrated by Pitt.

“Terrence’s ‘Voyage of Time’ is an incredibly delightful and unique experiential IMAX movie for kids and families chronicling the arrival of time,” Pitt said in a statement.

“I am really grateful to be part of such a fascinating and informative project, but I’m currently focused on my family situation and do not want to divert attention away from this extraordinary movie, which I encourage everyone to see,” he added.

After staying together for 12 years Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt last week.
