OMG! Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees further DELAYED and will NOT clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil
For all the Shah Rukh Khan fans, here is a news which may upset you. You might need to wait a little longer, if you’d been waiting for Shah Rukh’s next Raees to reach the movie screens in January 2017, just like us! Why? Seemingly, the film makers are planning to push the release date of Raees farther. Raees was scheduled to release alongside Hrithik Roshan‘s Kaabil. However, you can find reports that imply that Mahira Khan starrer and the Shah Rukh Khan WON’T be releasing in January. It’s the ongoing fiasco of sending Pakistani actors back. A lot was said over not letting Pakistani artistes to perform for Bollywood and Pakistani artistes all over the state are being condemned, since MNS announced that it’ll not enable any Pakistani celebrities’ movies to release in Maharashtra. A couple of days ago Shafqat Amanat Ali concert was called off in Bengaluru and also, Atif Aslam’s concert in Gurgaon got cancelled.
Now we all understand that Mahira Khan will be making her much-hoped-for Bollywood debut with Raees. Taking into account the present scenario, the film makers think it won’t be a favourable situation to release the movie in January. According to Hindustan Times, Shah Rukh Khan along with the makers of his next is intending to change the release date due to Mahira’s character in the film. An insider says, “SRK’s film is introducing Mahira. After the MNS asked all Pakistani artists to return to their country in the wake of the Uri terror attacks, the makers are now worried that this development can severely affect the business of the film.”
He included, “Because of the MNS order, the makers need to push on the release date in order to avoid double losses. Additionally, they can’t afford to have the film boycotted at the last minute because of the current tension between India and Pakistan. If it happens, it will be a big triumph for Hrithik. Both Fan and Dilwale didn’t do well at the box office.
NEither Riteish Sidhwani, the producer of the film the director of Raees, nor Rahul Dholakia, have been able to comment on this. Raees is a crucial movie for SRK because his previous films Dilwale and Lover, both didn’t do well at the box office. With the film being pushed further, we wonder if it will release in 2017 itself or 2018..maybe?! Let’s expect not!
Talking about the Raees–Kaabil clash, Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan had previously mentioned to a leading daily, “I had announced my film in February last year. A sudden announcement about the release of another movie is a little unethical. However, I can’t stop any film from releasing on the same day.” Well, now that the conflict is likely to be averted, it’s simply paved way for Hrithik’s Kaabil to earn more money .
