Their apologies have been tweeted by one Direction after cancelling their Tuesday night show at the SSE Arena in Belfast after Liam Payne fell.
The group were made to cancel the gig at the very last minute, leaving thousands of fans disappointed.
Mullingar native Niall Horan said that he was “so sorry” they had to cancel, while Harry Styles also tweeted his “deepest apologies” to everyone who had tickets for the show.
Amazed devotees were told the news as they were grouping into the sold-out 11,000 -capacity site. An announcement in the stage at 9.03pm confirmed that the concert had been cancelled.
One Direction fanatics had been assembling outside the site since early on Tuesday morning for the first -night run at the place.
Please hold on to your tickets. A further statement will be produced each morning. The band apologise to the fans and want Liam better.”
Shortly after the cancellation was announced, BBC Northern Ireland broadcaster Stephen Nolan tweeted: “I was interviewing Louis from One Direction at 5.30pm tonight. But Harry had a cast on his foot and I had been told Niall was ill. Now Liam too!”
The Belfast show was part of the On the Road Again tour of the group which saw them play with three sold-out dates in Dublin at the weekend.
