Paris firm over clothing knockoffs sue by Beyonce, Rihanna

NEW YORK:The grievance filed in federal court on Tuesday said ElevenParis has blown off the vocalists’ warnings to avoid the sales, including in a shop in the Soho district in Manhattan, as well as on its web site.

The musicians accused ElevenParis and its own affiliates of being “habitual, wilful intellectual property infringers that, without authority, usurp the logos, copyrights and other rights of A list stars.”

ElevenParis’ activities “have caused and are causing immediate irreparable damage” to the plaintiffs, who seek to recoup gains and triple damages on the allegations of trademark infringement and breaches of the rights of publicity, the complaint said.

All the musicians also has their very own clothing lines or collaborations with apparel manufacturing companies, the charge said, creating “hundreds of millions of dollars” in sales.
