Folks continued to throng to the Karachi Driving Licence office on a Sunday which would typically be a vacation but in light of the Traffic Police’s drive against unlicenced drivers, the offices have began managing 7-days a week.
Sunday had been designated for lady drivers and old age drivers wanting to get their driving licences made, but a news channel reported, since a large number of the general public also arrived in the office they were also amused. The decision to amuse the overall public was taken because there are separate exclusive counters set up for women and old-age drivers, therefore the practice isn’t going to hinder the method for them. According to sources, the driving Licence Branch has been issuing 350-400 forms to the general public but this number climbed to 500. To facilitate the public additional staff and counters have already been set up to provide services in work.
At the time this drive was started the authorities had maintained they’ll be issuing 5,000 licences per day, however that target has not been attained as yet. If information from all three licence offices is calculated the maximum number of licences being issued is 2,500 and if the offices continue to work at this speed it is not possible for the estimated number of licence holders computed by the Traffic Police to be issued driving licences.
