Iranian diplomats have been given 48 hours to leave the nation, amid a row on the Saudi execution of a top Shia Muslim cleric by Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir declared on Sunday the state had broken off diplomatic ties.
America has appealed for calm, saying diplomatic involvement is necessary to resolve differences.
Saudi authorities were shot in his home village at Sunday, the official SPA news agency in the country’s said.
Saudi Arabia declared that it could sever diplomatic relations after demonstrators stormed the Saudi embassy.
It has additionally recalled its diplomats.
Mr Jubeir said Saudi Arabia wouldn’t let Iran sabotage its protection, accusing it of having “spread weapons and put terrorist cells in the area”.
“Iran’s history is filled with negative hindrance and hostility in Arab problems, which is definitely accompanied by destruction,” he told a news conference.
