From Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade aims to help in generating funds for local charities each year, with more than $25,000 that being donated 2014. This year, the parade’s charities were Jason’s Dreams for Kids and S.P.U.R.

This year area business and civic groups participated in the one-mile parade in addition to more than 15 bands, non-profit clubs and organizations, several floats, three trolleys, Irish Step Dancers, antique cars and also novelty acts and representatives from active military & veteran’s groups.

The parade is scheduled to roll at 10 a.m. on Saturday (March 14).The cost of the the parade which is schedule to roll at 10 a.m. on Saturday (March 14) will be $4 per rider for a roundtrip ticket to the service which has been coined the Shamrock Shuttle.

You can find tickets on sale at the Walgreen’s in the intersection of Government Street and Acadian Thruway, the Downtown Hampton Inn, the CATS Terminal Building on Florida Boulevard and Matherne’s Supermarket
downtown.

There are a code which you can use when making the purchase for using a $20 discount on the ride by the local car service that the parade partnered with. The code is “StPaddysBR” and will be valid through March
30.
