Selena Gomez is returning to the small screen


E! News has affirmed Netflix has ordered a miniseries on the basis of the young adult novel right to series with all the singer-celebrity attached to executive produce the 13-episode series.

The news was reported by assortment.

Gomez’s new series is founded on the 2007 novel of the exact same name of Jay Asher. 13 Reasons Why is the story of Hanna Baker, a high schooler who commits suicide. Clay, who has not yet been cast, receives a box of tapes from his late classmate Hannah and crush after she kills herself. On the tapes, which get passed along to other pupils predicated on the educations of Hannah, Hannah discloses the 13 reasons why she took her own life.

Her mother and Gomez, Mandy Teefey, and Kristel Laiblin will executive produce.

News of Gomez’s miniseries comes on the heels of the launch of “Revival,” her second solo album. Her last playing TV gig was The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex, a Disney Channel movie, in 2013. She got her start on Friends and Barney in 2002. On the big screen she’s The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving: Sorority Climbing, expressed a role in Hotel Translyvania 2 and a function in Neighbors 2.
