Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been asked to stop the production for his considerably ambitious endeavor, Padmavati, as if there were any less dilemmas. Yes! While until yesterday we’d reports on that their never ending demands and how Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are fighting over screenspace are posing as an hindrance to begin shooting for the film. This latest report reveals Patel Navnirman Sena has farther forced Bhansali to stop preparing for the film or else they are going to strike at a prohibition. Yes!

Turns out Bhansali was intending to shoot in Gujarat and the Southern district of Mewar in Rajasthan, where the picture is really being based but folks out there consider Padmavati(the movie) is going to eventually damage the image of Rani Padmavati. Speaking of which, Hardik Patel, the President of Patel Navnirman Sena disclosed, “Every individual is proud of Maharani Padmavati, who sacrificed her life for the self esteem of Chittorgarh.

“However Rajasthan-based Rajput Sena’s members met me and informed that SLB has not studied the history, and could damage the image of Rani Padmavati. So, we’ve informed him to stop the production of the film and hold discussions with Rajput leaders before he begins shooting. Bhansali should give assurance of not damaging Rani Padmavati’s image, or else Patidar Navnirman Sena will hold protests against the movie across the country, and will not give permission for the film to release in Rajasthan. No director has the right to damage history for entertainment.”

While it’s left to see will undertake this controversial situation. A set has being constructed that next month ’s anticipated to be shot. Now will that too be put on hold? But we really believe Bhansali and his historic connection has consistently landed him in trouble. Remember during Bajirao Mastani, he’d faced protests that were dreadful for wrongly impersonating the Marathas. But then, hasn’t he consistently clarified that it’s NOT a biopic but an inspiration drawn from that period that is specific?
