Soon after the assembly, Mukesh Bhatt revealed how CM along with MNS leader Raj Thackrey have consented to let Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to release without protests on the scheduled day i.e on October 28. Talking of which, Mukesh Bhatt elaborated after the meeting on the key points stating, “We had a very constructive meeting on how do we resolve this unfortunate thing that has happened with the release of Karan Johar’s film. So I on behalf of the fraternity shared our emotions of the entire industry that we are Indians first and the Indian sentiments are the most important thing for us more than even our business. I assured Mr Fadanavis the cheif minister, Mr Thackeray was also there and I have told them that the Guild has taken a decision that in the larger interests of the people, the sentiments of the soldiers and every Indian that we will not work with any Pakistani artiste in the future. I am going to call an extraordinary meeting and pass this resolution. We are also going to contribute to the army welfare fund. This is not a compulsion from the CM. Please don’t read something which is not implied. This is purely our voluntary gesture from our side.”
