An anonymous telephone caller has threatened to kill Salman, prompting a probe to be launched by the Mumbai Police, an official said on Monday. The phone call was made to the Police Control Room in the city on February 16, authorities said.

Though no case has been filed, authorities guessed it was a hoax call and started a probe. Authorities has managed to find the area from where the call was made. Not ready to take chances, policemen decided to examine the 50-year old performer’s security.

Nobody from office or Salman’s family was not unavailable to get a remark. Where’s that this hate but we actually wonder.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has issued a notice in the 2002 hit-and-run to Salman case on the petition challenging his acquittal from the Bombay high court of the Maharashtra government. What destiny holds for the performer?
