The Indian Army’s Northern Command has clarified the video which is being widely circulated on Facebook and WhatsApp isn’t pertaining to the Siachen avalanche.ANI quoted the Northern Command saying, “It’s doing rounds in the social media. I desire to ensure it is not related to Siachen saving. See the dress soldiers are wearing. It is issued to troops deployed in elevation less than 12,000 feet. The avalanche at Siachen took place at 19,600 feet. Also, the boy is pulled out from only two feet. It seems to be an old video.”

Meanwhile, Thappa is currently accepted to the Research and Referral Hospital and was flown to Delhi. He’s getting various tests in the hospital and secure although his condition is critical, army sources said.
Hanumanthappa hails from Karnataka was discovered living on Monday, buried under 25 feet of snow. He was there for six days after an avalanche hit his post in the altitude of 19,600 feet close to the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan. The temperature at that elevation was 45 degrees Celsius.
