Shreveport authorities: Official chance, murdered; manhunt continuing

Authorities in northwest Louisiana state after being shot while on-duty, an official has died and a manhunt for a suspect is under way.

Shreveport police spokesperson Bill Goodin informs The Associated Press that detectives think they understand who was the suspect therefore getting a guarantee for his charge.

Goodin says a media discussion is likely to be held at 9:30 a.m. CDT to specify the information about the expired officer.

Clp. Marcus Hines said Thursday that was late while answering a study of the dubious individual in the house the official was shot. Hines claims an armed guy evidently within the house, threatened to damage people.

Goodin says Caddo Parish deputies, police, along side DeSoto Parish deputies and also the state police are trying to find the shooting.
