President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have expressed deep grief and sorrow over sad demise of Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
They prayed eternal peace for the departed soul and commiserated with the people and the government of UAE.
Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum died of a heart attack today morning. Al Dewan, Dubai Ruler’s Court, has declared three days mourning in Dubai. Flags will fly half-mast at all government institutions in the emirate.
Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, eldest son of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and ruler of Dubai, died of a heart attack at age 34 on Saturday.
“Today, I lost a best friend and a childhood companion, my dear brother Rashid,” said Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai. “You will be missed.”
“God bless the deceased young man … We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return,” the Court of the Ruler of Dubai said.
“We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return,” the Dubai Ruler Court said as it mourned Shaikh Rashid’s death on Saturday.
This evening prayers will soon be offered at Zabeel Masjid, followed by funeral at Umm Harir cemetery in Bur Dubai.
The Dubai Ruler’s Court has declared mourning in Dubai, beginning today. Flags will fly at half mast at all government institutions through the mourning period.
Sheikh Rashid was born in November 1981.
