Nailbiting activity scenes and blasts really are a routine feature in James Bond films but the franchise’s latest offering, “Spectre”, has scored a world record for the biggest stunt explosion in a movie, Guinness World Records said on Tuesday.
Performer Daniel Craig, who reprises the 007 role for the fourth time, performer Lea Seydoux and producer Barbara Broccoli were presented with the official certification verifying the effort while marketing “Spectre” in Beijing.
It resulted from detonating 8,418 liters with 33 kilograms it included.
“Spectre”, the 24th James Bond movie, broke records in the British box office upon opening late last month.
It topped the North American box office in the weekend with $70.4 million but dropped below first takings for the last 007 movie “Skyfall” which took $88.4 million when it opened in 2012.
